Last updated October 2026. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
The short version
- ObserMe stores your account and your answers on its own servers, so they are there when you change phones.
- There are no ads, no analytics, and no tracking, in the app or on this website.
- Your data is not sold and not shared with anyone for advertising or analytics.
- You can export everything as JSON, and delete your account from inside the app.
What we store
- Your account. Your email address and a password. The password is stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text.
- Your checks. The questions you write, their answer types, choices, and schedules.
- Your answers. Each answer, any note you add to it, and when you gave it.
- Shared posters. If you choose to share a report, a snapshot of that report. It contains totals and patterns, not your notes.
We don’t collect your contacts, location, health data, or advertising identifiers.
Review: confirm the schedule settings are stored on the server and not only on the device. Confirm whether a “Where are you?” check ever reads device location, or only stores the text the person chooses.
Why we store it
Only to run the app: to sign you in, keep your answers safe across devices, and draw your reports. We don’t use your data to build advertising profiles, and we don’t train models on it.
Where it lives
Your data is stored with Supabase, the database and sign-in provider ObserMe runs on. It processes data on our behalf and is not allowed to use it for anything else.
Each account is isolated at the database level with row-level security, so a signed-in person can only read their own rows.
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by the hosting provider. It is not end-to-end encrypted: like most services that sync, the system can technically read it to serve it back to you. We don’t look at individual accounts except to answer a support request you send us.
Review: add the Supabase project region (for example, EU Frankfurt) and link Supabase’s data processing agreement.
What we don’t do
- No ads, and no ad networks.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs in the app.
- No analytics, tracking pixels, or cookies on this website.
- No selling or renting of data, ever.
Our website host keeps short-lived server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. We don’t use them to track visitors.
Review: confirm the website host and its log retention period.
Shared posters
When you share a report, ObserMe creates a snapshot that anyone with its link can view. Nothing becomes public until you choose to share. A snapshot contains totals and patterns for the period you picked, not your individual notes.
Review: confirm how a shared snapshot can be revoked, and whether it expires.
Your controls
- Export. Download all of your checks and answers as a JSON file from the app’s settings.
- Delete. Delete your account from inside the app. Your account, checks, answers, and shared snapshots are removed from our database.
- Correct. Edit or delete any answer in the app at any time.
Review: confirm the exact menu paths, and how long deleted data remains in backups (for example, up to 30 days).
Children
ObserMe is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Review: confirm the minimum age (13, or 16 in some EU countries).
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll say so in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top always shows the latest version.
